Irrigation Turn Off
After talking with the irrigation district, we anticipate water shutting down on Friday, October 11th. Be sure to get in your last bit of watering while you can.
Getting Dark
Now that Fall has arrived, the nights are getting longer. To help keep our community well-lit and safe, please make sure your exterior lights are on and working. If you notice streetlights or entry lights not working right, please report them to hoa@brightoncorp.com.
If you have permanent accent lighting, please remember that these should not unduly illuminate neighboring properties, and should not be set to strobe, change colors, rotate or the like all night long.
Tree Update
The Board approved replacing 45 trees in the common areas this fall. We’re going to work on parkway trees, and those most visible first. Last weekend, the landscapers worked on cleaning up some of the areas where trees were removed, filling them with sod, and grinding stumps. We’ve greatly appreciated everyone’s patience and assistance in helping us to review and assess all the many options. We do plan to continue with more improvements in the following years as well.
Fall Maintenance
It’s time to start trimming shrubs and trees that are growing into or over sidewalks and streets. Sidewalks should be clear for passage up to 8ft in height, and streets up to 14ft in height. It’s also time to start watching for leaves to drop. Please try to clean these up regularly, so they are not left to blow all into your neighbor’s yards. Don’t let your plants block signs or corners. This is for safety. Our yards are part of the first impressions of the community, so please keep them up.
Holiday Decorations
It’s that time of year when so many people decorate for the holidays. We love to see all the festivity! However, we ask that you remember temporary holiday decorations may be installed 30 days prior to the holiday and should be removed within 30 days after the holiday, vendor scheduling and weather permitting.
