June 2024 Community Newsletter
Fireworks
If your celebration is going to include fireworks, please be sure to know what is legal or not and the best ways to handle them. Aerial fireworks are illegal to shoot off in Idaho, although you can purchase them legally in the state. Aerial fireworks have a risk of starting wildfires and causing injuries. We don’t want any accidents in the community, so please use extreme caution and follow these TIPS. Please also, clean up after yourselves. Even safe and sane fireworks can leave messes in yards and the street. Be sure to appropriately soak and dispose of any messes. Common areas may not be used to light off fireworks. Also, please be aware that neighbors and animals may not all like fireworks, so keep to reasonable timing. We greatly appreciate everyone’s consideration, and hope you have a very safe and enjoyable holiday!
Tree Update
Our Board and Landscaping committee have been reviewing the health of the trees in our community and working on some actions to do better and be more preventative. We’re also looking at a plan for tree replacements, including prioritizing common area street trees first, and then other areas. There are lots of things to consider and it is taking some time. We appreciate everyone’s patience.
If you are replacing trees in your yard, you might check out the City of Eagle tree rebate program.
Dues Assessments
The 3rd quarter assessments have been sent out. These are due in July, late after the 31st of the month. Pool keys will be shut off and late fees will be incurred in August.
Pool Update
The Board has been reviewing bids to polish the pool and make it softer on feet. This is something that will require the closure and draining of the pool for about a week. This will likely be something done after the season is over.
Pet Rules
Please remember to keep your pet(s) leashed when not on your property, as well as picked up after. This is not just an association rule, but there are City Ordinances that must be adhered to, that include leashes of no longer than 8ft, and there are fines involved. Use the city dog parks for off-leash activities. Please report people who are not leashing their dogs. If you know the residents or where they live, the association can reach out to them first. If not, then please report them to the police. Barking can be helped. Help keep our common areas clean by not leaving behind pet waste.
Soliciting
Soliciting requires a permit that they must carry and be able to show you. If someone does not have their required permit, be wary and ask them to leave.
ACC Requests
Make sure to submit ACC Requests prior to improvements. You can fill out the form and submit it with your pictures and site plan online. This is needed for any exterior improvements, such as paint color changes, sheds, patio covers, patio expansions, etc.
Mailboxes
We’ve started to see a lot of fliers taped to the mailboxes. Please use social sites like Facebook for sharing this information rather than cluttering the mailboxes.
