Slow Down
School is back in session, so please slow down and watch for kids walking and riding to and from school and bus stops. It only takes seconds to slow down and avoid a tragedy.
Ada County Mosquito Abatement
The hot weather often brings mosquitoes. If you have a concern about them in an area you may reach out to Ada County at 208-577-4646 to treat the area.
Garage Sale
The next scheduled garage sale is set for Saturday, September 10th. A sign will go out at the entrance, and an ad placed in the paper. If you are interested in participating, please put your items out for sale in your driveway and join in the sales. Residents are encouraged to put out additional signs, post on social media sites, and coordinate pick up of any leftovers with agencies like St. Vincent’s.
Irrigation & Landscaping
We’re rounding on the last month of irrigation. Now’s the time to finish any projects, do treatments, and start scheduling for tree/shrub trimming, so sidewalks are clear for use. As the weather cools, be sure to turn watering down. Irrigation has not yet set a turnoff date, but is expected around the beginning of October. Stay tuned for updates as information is received.
Pool Closing
The pool generally closes following Labor Day, however, with the warm weather we’ll be watching the temperatures and keeping the pool open as long as we’re able. We’ll send out an update as soon as a closing date is set.
Community Events
Volunteers in the community have organized an evening of music by the first pool from Blue Sky on September 3rd from 6-8pm, and the food trucks Happy Camper and Slay the Snow will be onsite for purchases. September 17th they’re planning a movie in the park starting around sunset, and there will be a milkshake truck for purchases. If you’re interested in coordinating or organizing an event, please reach out to Ann Marie at hoa@brightoncorp.com
